Kathleen Philcox

Kathleen graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Florida, Coggin College of Business, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She began her career as a certified legal assistant with a specialty certification in estate planning. She worked for many years in the legal field before transitioning to accounting in 2006. Kathleen began her accounting career as a staff accountant at Shorstein & Shorstein in Jacksonville, Florida and moved on to become a Tax Manager at Smoak, Davis & Nixon, also in Jacksonville. She joined out team at Abare, Kresge & Associates, as Director of Estate Planning and Compliance in 2018. Kathleen is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She specializes in the areas of estate planning and taxation.
